Minako & Natsumi's Alternatives 

Those are other Pokemon girl characters who have their own qualities and coolnesses.  Some of them (like Jessie) are already famous while others (like Cassidy) are relatively unknown to people who just see the surface and NOT the core of the series.  Take your pick!!
 
 

1) Erika

She is the 18-year-old leaderess of Celadon City's gym (thanks to Dr. Thinker for correcting the mistake here!) and the owner of a famous perfume store.  Erika is a very sweet person who rarely gets angry, except for the times when someone sees her, girls or scents as something inferior. She owns only plant Pokemon: a Tangela, a Weepingbell, and a Gloom (her best friend, which rescued her from a wild Grimer when she was very little), amongst her other plant Pokemon.  While Ash and Erika were battling ('til then their duel was a draw), Team Rocket made a bomb explode, and Gloom was trapped inside of the fire, so Ash had to rescue it, and Erika gave him the Rainbowbadge as a prize.
 

2) Sabrina

17-year-old Sabrina (I heard she's 21 in the manga) is the leaderess of Saffron City's gym.  This one is a very serious young lady who rarely talks and always looks very cold and emotionless; she has made her own parents vanish in other to improve her psychic skills, but deep inside, she longs still for friends.  After many adventures, Ash manages to bring in a Haunter (ghost Pokemon) which breaks Sabrina's shell and defeats her powerful Kadabra (Ash wins by it the Marshbadge), so she admits her need for human touch and reconciliates herself with life. A last bit: her voice actress was Kae Araki, famous for her girl roles like Fushigi Yuugi's Miaka Yuuki, Digimon's Hikari Yagami, Sailormoon's Chibi-Usam, Gunsmith Cat's Minnie May, or Gundam Wing's Hilde Schbecker.
 

3)  Jessie

Jessie's cool!!  She is the female of Team Rocket Gang (she hangs around with their "pet" Meowth and her teammate James), and is very vain, bossy and bad-tempered, but sweet once in a while (remember the scene when she thought that James would leave the team, yet he came back for her? It was so wonderful-- and better, a parody to Natsumi's favourite series: The Vision of Escaflowne).  She and Misty have faced off several times, their biggest battle taking place in the Girl's Day episode.  And also, in Japan she has the voice of the very famous Megumi Hayashibara (which can be good or bad depending on the role. As Denei Shoujo Ai's Ai Amano, Megumi rocked. As 3X3 Eyes' Pai, Megumi sucked. As Jessie..., Megumi is okay).
 

4) Cassidy

What can we say? Too bad Cassidy just appears in two chapters... She's the former best friend, and now rival of Jessie in the Team Rocket organization, and teammate of a blue-haired boy named Kozaburou.  She also has a strong character as well as a great ego..., all through her own unreliability and silliness.  And in Japan, she's dubbed by the wonderful Masako Katsuki, Minako's favourite: she was Michiru Kaiou/Sailorneptune in Sailormoon, Tamazusa in Hakkenden, Lucette Odeby in Gundam 0083, Minako-sensei in Jigoku Sensei Nuubee.  Can't get cooler than that, ne-way?
